About the event:
Trinity Lutheran Church

Our Community Pride Celebration is a beautiful event for people of all ages that includes community resource organizations, history exhibits, crafts, games, and culminates with a professional drag performance by Coco Sho-Nell & company.
The event is planned by a multigenerational committee including high school students through older adults! SPEAK Des Plaines and The Des Plaines Clergy Alliance have teamed up to host this secular event at Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Plaines.
The intentions for this event are
To inspire joy, strength, and community engagement
To be inclusive, intersectional, intergenerational, accessible, and anti-racist
To be a safe and welcoming event for all individuals–any race, ethnicity, religion, age, ability, citizenship status, faith, or no faith
To be family friendly
To acknowledge LGBTQIA+ people past, present & future
To include all genders and sexualities - whether or not people are out
To support local organizations and to be environmentally friendly
