Ace Book Club — Monthly

  • Next Book: Dear Wendy by Ann Zhao

  • Meeting: Hybrid, Gerber/Hart Community Room

  • Date: Saturday, September 27, 1–2 p.m. CT

We'll be reading Dear Wendy by Ann Zhao for our September meeting! Dear Wendy follows two aromantic asexual college students who engage in an online feud—only to become friends in real life. This YA contemporary novel explores a-spec identities and college life. If you were a fan of Alice Oseman’s Loveless, you’ll want to dive into this love story that is (and isn’t) a love story.

October Book Club

We'll be reading Portalmania: Stories by Debbie Urbanski for our October meeting! This is a short story collection that explores themes of compulsory sexuality, betrayal, marriage, asexuality, neurodiversity, and more across the sci-fi, horror, and fantasy genres. We did a Q&A with Debbie earlier in the summer if you want to learn more about the collection! This book club meeting will be the perfect way to cap off Ace Week 2025.

When: Saturday, October 25, 1–2 p.m. CT

Where: Gerber/Hart Library Community Room OR Virtual

RSVP by October 23: https://forms.gle/dn7H9gFpUa26jUdx7
